SARAH COLLINS
APA SPORTS PHYSIOTHERAPIST
Sarah graduated from the University of Sydney in 2006 with a Bachelor of Applied Science and Physiotherapy. Since then, she has worked in private practise for over 15 years and completed a Postgraduate Masters in Sport and Exercise Physiotherapy though LaTrobe University, making her an APA titled Sports Physiotherapist. She is a current member of both the Australian Physiotherapy Association (APA) and Sports Physiotherapy Association (SPA).
Sarah has extensive sports coverage experience across numerous codes (football, soccer, waterpolo). She travelled internationally with the Junior Waterpolo program in 2014. She loves to work with athletes across all disciplines to achieve their goals, with a keen interest in rehabilitation.
Sarah has worked with numerous Orthopaedic surgeons and patients, facilitating both post-operative recovery and/or the prevention of surgery through rehabilitation, with a special interest in hip and lower limb injury. She is GLAD:AU trained, making her an accredited provider of exercise-based management of hip and knee osteoarthritis. She is DMA and PINC Pilates trained and has experience teaching floor and equipment-based pilates for spinal and pelvic pain. Sarah has also recently completed the Introduction to Women’s Pelvic Health and is interested in the emerging intersection between women’s health and sports physiotherapy.
Outside of work, Sarah is a mum, wife and lover of all things active and outdoors.
Sarah is currently on secondment to the University of Canberra Student-Led Clinic.
