MUMS & BUBS CLASSES
Accelerate Physiotherapy are now offering post pregnancy exercise Classes at our Jamison Clinic.
Run by Rachel Whiteside, this is a post-natal exercise class designed to help new mums on their journey back to an active lifestyle. It is aimed at women between 6 weeks and 12 months post-partum.
Rachel will guide you to help rebuild pelvic floor and core strength, help you prevent upper back/shoulder pain, and get you back to doing what you love, no matter the activity.
WHAT TO EXPECT:
An initial 60-minute consult with Rachel Whiteside
1 x supervised exercise session per week in small groups of 4-6 people.
A 30-minute private appointment will be offered at intervals throughout the program to assess your progress and adjust your goals accordingly
WHAT TO BRING:
Wear comfortable clothing suitable for exercise
Bring a small towel and a drink bottle
Please feel free to bring your baby. A play mat and some toys may be useful to help keep them entertained and settled
PLEASE NOTE:
We will require that you have completed your 6-week post-partum check with your GP or obstetrician before attending classes.
Having an individual assessment prior to starting the class will allow Rachel to help you learn how to activate your pelvic floor and core effectively and to assess your current exercise capacity.
This will allow Rachel to help you work towards your goals and it will give you the confidence that you are doing the exercises correctly.
